State Cost Share Program

The state cost share program accepts applications on an annual basis.  Stop by our office any time to fill out an application.  A soil technician will make a farm visit to assess your conservation needs and create a conservation plan with you.

Cut-off for applications to be entered in the next state ranking will be October 30, 2021.  Any applications received after this date will be held until the next state cost share ranking (TBA).

 

The Harrison County Soil & Water Conservation District was organized on May 9, 1945 pursuant to KRS 262.  The first meeting of the conservation district board was held on June 29, 1945.

The board is served by 7 local elected officials (supervisors), serving rotational terms of 4 years.  Monthly board meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every month, 6:30pm EST Nov - Feb, 7:30pm EST Mar- Oct.  All meetings are open to the public.
